Welcome to our trip blog and we are glad you are interested in our travels. Our trip draws near and the last minute jitters are setting in. Friends have said that we will be in a state of perpetual jetlag for the next five months. As I begin to get nervous and have an ever more difficult time sleeping, I wonder if I just stop sleeping altogether, will jetlag ever get me?
We leave the Pacific Northwest in cold rain and dreary short days. When it starts to get me down, I look at the Santiago weather report - 85 and sunny with short, cool nights in the 50s. Maybe I'll sleep there after all, that sounds wonderful and I can't wait!
